Here’s a quick overview of the neuromodulators approved by the FDA and available in the U.S.:
Botox Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA)
The most well-known neuromodulator and widely used worldwide.
Treats moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.
Typically lasts 3-4 months.
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA)
Known for its fast-acting results, often visible within 2-3 days.
Spread depends on how one mixes the product, making it versatile for different treatment areas.
Results can last 3-4 months. Some patients prefer Dysport or need a faster onset of action, which is why we offer both.
Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs)
Often called "#Newtox," it is specifically designed for aesthetic use.
We once carried Jeuveau but stopped when the price point increased, as we did not think it worked as well as Botox.
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA)
A "naked" botulinum toxin, meaning it doesn’t contain any additives.
Claims to be better for resistant patients, though we’re not fully convinced of its superiority. However, if Botox and Dysport do not work for you, Xeomin is worth considering.
Results last around 3-4 months.
Daxxify (daxxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm)
The newest neuromodulator on the market, approved in 2022.
Claims to last longer, up to 6 months or more, but the increased expense does not justify the cost in our opinion.
Botox vs. Dysport: Which Is Right for You?

Cost and Dosage: Dysport units are smaller, so while you may need more units compared to Botox, the overall cost is often comparable.
